LIOPETRA
EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL

THE LAND
The olive groves where the fruits are harvested, are located in the western part of Peloponnese, renowned for the production of superior quality olive oil, and on the island of Zakynthos, favored by the rich sunshine and the cool breeze of the Ionian sea.
The soil, the microclimate and the variety of the olive fruit, along with the traditional methods of cultivation, shape the distinctive characteristics of our olive oil, which continues centuries-old tradition in Greece in olive oil production.
Single varietal, coming from olive trees of the acclaimed Koroneiki variety, which is recognized by the International Olive Council as a world heritage variety.
We cultivate our own olive trees on private estates, with painstaking care and love, while at the same time we collaborate with small, carefully selected producers who follow family tradition as transferred from one generation to the next for the cultivation and harvesting of olive trees.
THE OLIVE GROVES
THE OLIVE FRUIT
We are in daily contact with farmers throughout the year, in search of the best available olives in every region, and by giving them the appropriate direction, support and guidance on all good cultivation and harvesting practices, we ensure the best possible raw material, the olive fruit.
Respecting tradition, olives are picked by hand with utmost care. They are harvested at the optimal stage of maturation and then taken immediately to the local mills, thus shielding the rich, fruity flavour of olive oil and all the beneficial ingredients of fresh olive juice.
Obtained directly from olives and solely by mechanical means, without any chemical treatment. It is produced exclusively by the method of cold extraction in order to preserve its organoleptic characteristics.
We collaborate with selected olive mills that respect the product and the environment, apply the latest innovative oil extraction practices and fulfil our company’s strict specifications related to olive oil production and temporary storage.
